La realta' si da' a noi solo in forma di riflesso. E dai riflessi prendono forma i dipinti di Gerini che [...] assumono l'idenita' di "Phrabot-banners". I phrabot derivano dalla tradizione dell'arte Buddhista e sono, in origine, stendardi riproducenti episodi della vita del  Buddha offerti in dono ai templi, spesso a memoria e maggior gloria degli antenati. Con un atto di libera appropriazione, Gerini assume il phrabot come oggetto di dialogo e come supporto di una pittura astratta ed informale che cade sulla seta tessuta a mano e colorata con tinte sgargianti. La verita' artistica dell'autore e quella millenaria dell'oggetto devozionale vengono messi in cortocircuito nel rispetto formale di una ricerca della verita' che come un fiume puo' separarsi in mille rivoli per congiungersi in un unico letto piu' a valle.

The reality is given to us only in the form of reflection. And from the reflections the paintings of Gerini are originated [here] they assume the idenitity of "Phrabot-banners". The phrabot is a from of Buddhist traditional art and is, in origin, a banner reproducing scenes from the life of Lord Buddha offered as gift to temples, often in memory, and for the greater glory of the ancestors. By an act of free appropriation, Gerini assumes the phrabot as the subject of dialogue and as support for his abstract and informal painting that he let fall on the silk hand-woven in glowing colors.The truth of the author and the ancient art of the devotional object are short-cirquited in accordance with a formal search for truth that, as a river, can be separated into a thousand rivulets to join in a single bed further downstream .
